Motor Quantity Capability
- 4-Motor Systems
- Many large format CNC machines, including all of our Large Format and Benchtop CNC machines, employ a dual-drive gantry system which utilize a 4-motor system to drive 3 axes. This is the most common configuration and the default for our systems.
- 5-Motor Systems
- Enable the capability to control of an additional independent axis simultaneously, like a rotary or additional Z-axis, for use now or in the future. Additional motor and motor cables are not included.
- Stepper controllers with 5-motor support come pre-wired with an extra stepper motor driver. All servo controllers are 5th motor ready as the drivers are built directly into the motors.
Rotary axis, second Z-axis, additional motors and cabling for these systems are available through our customer support team.
